For Eni Corporate University, kwantis trains drilling and completion engineers and management in the probabilistic approach to planning, contingency calculation and operation monitoring.
The challenge
A probabilistic approach to drilling and completion activities means a new way of planning, calculating contingencies and monitoring operations. Drilling and Completion Engineers need the skills to use the related procedures and tools, and to present the results to management.
Our approach
kwantis runs two types of tailored training:
- Drilling and Completion Engineers (5 days): a theoretical introduction to probabilistic estimates, followed by an in-depth case study in which participants run the specific tools for well planning and operation monitoring.
- Management (1 day): the same starting point in probabilistic estimates theory, then a focus on what the results mean for a better allocation of resources, project evaluation and NPV analysis.
The courses draw on kwantis’s experience in risk analysis in the oil and gas sector, and on its knowledge of the procedures and tools in place at its clients.
The outcome
Engineers and managers get the same grounding in probabilistic estimates, each at the depth their role needs. kwantis delivers these trainings worldwide, and all participants have given excellent feedback.
